If I log-out and login again, the settings are loaded correctly. Could this be caused by a really fast boot (3-4 seconds from GRUB to login screen, SSD) and a "unity version" of bug #574269? I've tried editing the autostart script to add a little sleep but it seems to work only occasionally. Attached x-0-greeter.log, is it useful?
