A pity that there is no one assigned to search for a solution to this regression in Ubuntu.
In our research institution, we are also affected by the unability to define proxy exceptions. :-/ For browsing the net, we can do that in Firefox directly. But for other GUI programs reusing variables set somewhere else in unity, it's a pity that we don't know how to avoid this issue. Any config file where we can manually write that no_proxy values? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1335159 Title: System Setting -> Network -> Network Proxy it isn't possible to define proxy exceptions Status in “unity-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hi all, in Ubuntu 14.04 System Setting -> Network -> Network Proxy it isn't possible to define proxy exceptions. It has to be possible to define proxy exceptions in following way IP, IP Networks, Domains (e.g. .launchpad.net, 192.168.0.0/24) to make sure that internal company networks can be reached. Because if they are also routed over the proxy, connection is not possible. Because proxy is only used to reach the external IP world. Would be really good if you could make this possible :) Regards Marko Weiß To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-control-center/+bug/1335159/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
