Hi Kyle, I have not seen any issues with resizing unless you use the keyboard first. Could you give me exact steps on how you can make this happen without using a keyboard?

Using the mouse to select the top edge or using the right-click, rezise, move method on the bottom edge still produce the right behavior. This happens in all applications that use resizable windows. I'm reproducing this bug with the default unity on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS I have attached a video demonstrating the bug.
