Public bug reported:

When loading .csv or xls libreoffice calc locks up. after about 5 minutes it
becomes usable but very slow to operate. No error is given. This always happens
after progress bar completes. other windows also will not redraw.
Also cannot change the default font Liberation Sans. the change will not stick
and the font does not work with other programs and causes errors
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 with gmone desktop. I have 4 GB of ram but Ubuntu only
loads 2.9 GB. Calc Does not use virtual memory 8.4GB. I have Intel® Pentium(R)
4 CPU 3.00GHz × 2, with 0.5 tetra byte of HDD. Nvidia 173 with 256MB ram. OS
32-bit
