Public bug reported: This report may be stale news, as I haven't been able to take the time for several weeks to file a report.
After upgrading from 12.04 to 14.04 a couple of months ago, I found that Firefox will crash the system so hard that power has to be removed to restart. This happened several times. It appeared to be due to a memory leak, as it only happens after prolonged heavy use -- over a week or more. The system gradually became more and more sluggish and the problem could only be resolved by re-booting. I have not experienced this problem recently, but also haven't been using this computer nearly as much as previously. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1390997 Title: Firefox crashes Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: This report may be stale news, as I haven't been able to take the time for several weeks to file a report.
