Public bug reported: When using the disk utility to manage raid arrays, the RAID Disks submenu gives the option to add a disk, but it is only the disk, it does not give the option of adding a partion on any of the available disks. Usually one is adding a partition, ie; sda1 to the array as opposed to the whole disk, ie; sda, this can be added at the cli of course but not using the disk utility gui.
