Title:
  Unity Launcher always assumes default background is active for a
  couple of seconds

Bug description:
  This happened for the first time after upgrading to Ubuntu 13.10 (64-bit) and 
it won't just go...
  Every time the computer boots and autologins to my desktop, I see the default 
background only behind the Unity Launcher for a couple of seconds, and then it 
is replaced with the current wallpaper.
