Public bug reported: When I first used my speakers on this new Ubuntu computer, the sound worked fine. At some point the sound started clipping with only a fraction of a second of sound every second or so. When I look at the system settings for sound I find that the machine is automatically "detecting" headphones and switching the output automatically to headphones, back and forth, from analog out.
