When I start update-manager, it is displayed on the laptop screen. After initiating an update, the progress window is displayed in the middle of the other screen. This is a confusing and unpleasant experience for the user. Expected behaviour? The progress window (and any other windows that are spawned from that app) should appear on the same screen as the main window for the app. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: update-manager 1:0.152.18 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-11.18-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-11-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Sep 22 12:20:46 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: update-manager UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-09-07 (14 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/856310/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
