The issue reported in comment 0 has been investigated on bug 72988, so closing in favour of that.
I don't see any problem in 4.4.0.2 with the file attached for the apparently separate issue of comment 2, but if there is then a separate bug should be raised (one bug per report please) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 72988 *** -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1303567 Title: [Upstream] Impress changes background color in Slide Show Status in LibreOffice Productivity Suite: Invalid Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: 1) lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu Trusty Tahr (development branch) Release: 14.04 2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-impress libreoffice-impress: Installed: 1:4.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:4.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:4.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3) What is expected to happen via a terminal: cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1303567/+attachment/4072202/+files/test_impress_vintage_14.04.odp && loimpress --nologo test_impress_vintage_14.04.odp is the slide look exactly the same in editing mode, as it does when in Slide Show (F5). 4) What happens instead is in Slide Show it looks like the background color changes to white, and the red ribbon in the top right changes color to black.
