Title: Very heavy CPU usage for Facebook in Firefox Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When a tab with the Facebook home page is active in Firefox, Firefox's CPU usage shoots through the roof. It had been very bad for a while, but recently it has got worse, now sticking at almost a constant 100% on one core (of a 1.5GHz Core2Duo), as opposed to around 5-20% when the page is backgrounded or closed. I cannot reproduce this problem in Opera. I have also read reports on forums that say this problem does not occur in Chrome.
