Public bug reported: In a clean Ubuntu 11.10 install, I started using banshee instead of rhythmbox, and once the music library scan was completed, I realised that many files were displayed as "Unknown artist" and "Unknown album". Also, the song title was the filename (without the extension).
Maybe banshee doesn't support these files, but then it lets me edit the song information, which doesn't make sense. The metadata is there, but banshee just doesn't read it. Is there any solution?
