Even after un- checking setting in the Calendar for "Show reminder notifications", shutting down using evolution --force-shutdown, cleaning up any evo processes and purging the .cache/evolution/calendar directory, the reminders do not stop flooding in. I expect it will be a long time until I stop getting them, since there are probably several a day going back years .. in multiple calendars.
