Recently, I have started to notice that the fan on my laptop runs CONSTANTLY. This has never been an issue for me before (been using 12.04 since release). Investigating the issue, I have discovered that when running kernel 3.2.0-35 or lower, the fan runs only intermittently if at all. But when running 3.2.0-36 or 3.2.0-37 (the latest release today), the fan runs constantly, even for minimal computing tasks. It appears that a power-regression has been introduced into the kernel. Any chance this is fixable so that 12.04 can run fan-free again?
