Title:
  SFTP is destroying symlinks

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gvfs

I think this bug is related to gvfs. I used to change files on my
server through an SFTP connection. When I open a symbolic link, then
change it and save, it creates me a copy of that file, applying the
  changes to the linked one.
