I remember also running into another package or two that won't install without xorg-video-abi-15.
The best method would be adding the proper "provides" to the appropriate package. However, if this is provided by multiple packages we should go with the slightly messier option of using a meta-package to provide the dependency. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1424491 Title: apt-get fails to install fglrx or fglrx-updates in 14.04.2 and 12.04.5 Status in AMD fglrx video driver: Invalid Status in fglrx-installer package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in fglrx-installer-updates package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in fglrx-installer source package in Precise: In Progress Status in fglrx-installer-updates source package in Precise: In Progress Status in fglrx-installer source package in Trusty: Fix Released Status in fglrx-installer-updates source package in Trusty: Fix Released Bug description: SRU Request: [Impact] fglrx cannot be installed correctly together with the new lts stacks.
