Title: Thunderbird's date format not changed easely Status in Mozilla Thunderbird Mail and News: Won't Fix Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird Thunderbird 3.0 Ubuntu 8.04 - the Hardy Heron - released in April 2008 The inbox shows all mails with column "Date" in the American format. This format displays mm/dd/yyyy I couldn't find some easy way to modify the date format. I tried to find the menu to modify the date format but couldn't find it. I made some research on the Internet. It is a fact that too many people were in the same situation ..... searching a solution for what normally never should have been a problem in the first place !!! Most results were giving solutions with command lines and making changes for which I don't have the necessary knowledge. Since Ubuntu is Linux "for human beings" .... in ALL countries, there might still be some hope to find a simple method to display dates in other formats. It should be possible to display formats like dd/mm/yyyy or yyyy/mm/dd (for each program installed by the way)) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/thunderbird/+bug/312483/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
