I just found more weird behaviour of the greeter: after resuming from "suspend" with a logged in session, the second screen wallpaper was rotated correctly, but filled the whole screen an hence appeared squished.
When I restarted the PC and got to the greeter login screen again, the second wallpaper was again rotated the wrong way. I started typing my password and then pressed Escape - suddenly the login prompt was moved to the second screen (still 90° rotated). So to summarize: - Since the wallpaper for additional screens can not be configured properly (aspect ratio and orientation of screens might be different), it's probably best, to not display any wallpaper on the additional screens. - Detection of the main screen on which to show the login prompt is not "reliable" I use the NVIDIA driver 355.06 by the way. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity-greeter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1492820 Title: unity greeter does not respect if a screen is in portrait orientation Status in unity-greeter package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Ubuntu 15.04 unity-greeter 15.04.4-0ubuntu1 I have two screens. The main screen is in landscape orientation, the second screen is in portrait orientation. The unity greeter displays the wallpaper on the second screen as if the screen was also in landscape orientation, so it appears 90° rotated. I would like to have the wallpaper on the second screen rotated correctly or not displayed at all (just a black screen).
