Title:
Dual monitor setup - new icons disappear on a smaller display

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have established a dual monitor setup successfully with my Ubuntu
15.04 (with default display settings and Unity 7.3.2).

The first is a built-in display (1) and it belongs to my laptop (1366
  x 768px), the second screen (2) is my external monitor (1920 x
1080px). Whenever I add a new icon on my Desktop, new icons visually
disappear, since they go within the invisible area (marked with
  yellow) on a smaller display.

I'm sure this is a bug, but I wonder if there's any temporary
workaround for this (except deleting the existing icons from my
Desktop), eg. to forbid using the area marked with yellow, so the new
icons could show up somewhere on the visible area?
