Title: Removing libcheese breaks Ubuntu 14.04. Status in cheese package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: libcheese causes unmet/unmeetable dependencies with other packages I am trying to install (notably point cloud library). Since all this library is doing is providing novelty webcam functionality I imagined that removing it would be simple, and not cripple the entire operating system. However, from a vanilla reinstall (reinstall required because removing libcheese made my system unbootable) attempting to remove libcheese from synaptic gives the following actions to be performed:
