As part of the big bug review for 16.04 LTS, I have tested this on 15.10 and the bug is still there.
Working on: Firefox, Gedit, LibreOffice, HardInfo. Not working on: Unity, Nautilus, Calculator, Unity Tweak Tool, Opera, Synaptic. In Synaptic and Nautilus I have seen the loading icon (sand clock) with the right theme. ** Tags added: desktop-bugscrub-triaged wily ** Also affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: unity-tweak-tool (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/997099 Title: Unity does not respect cursor theme Status in Unity: Confirmed Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: New Status in unity package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in unity-tweak-tool package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I noticed when I changed my theme that the cursor sprite changes to the default when I click the launcher, attached is a screen cap. Let me know if any additional information is needed and the commands nescessary to provide it. To reproduce, change the theme to one which uses a different mouse and watch it switch between the themed and default cursor as you move it around your screen (eg in forefox its correct but on launcher its not). I would attach a screenshot, but the screenshot renders the pointer correctly at all times -- is this a compiz issue? I'm using 12.04 and I have a dual head setup. This issue was there before I started using the proprietary drivers.
