** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1487546 Title: Newly copied files report zero (0) file size Status in gvfs package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: 1) Boot into the standard Ubuntu session. 2) Connect an MTP device (I've used HTC One M8 and Tesco Hudl, although both required a udev rule entry to get them to mount automatically) 3) Copy a file to the device using `cp` in a terminal (not Nautilus). 4) Check it's size, it reads zero. 5) Check size in a Nautilus, it reads zero. 6) Unmount the device in Nautilus. 7) Remount the device in Nautilus. 8) Check file size again, it will be correct. Copying files using Nautilus appears to work properly, but this excludes the use of a wide range of utilities, such as `cp`, `rsync` and the like. This may be a gvfs-fuse issue or gvfs-backend issue, feel free to change, I wasn't sure.
