I am using ubuntu 8.10 I mounted a ftp server, and started to copy a very large file from it to my hard drive. I left, and when I came back, my computer was in sleep mode. when I woke it up, the file operation box and progress bar was not there, as if it was finished, but the file was much smaller than it should have been (because it was not finished copying). I tried to copy it again, but the progress bar was not moving again, and it would not copy. The computer should not automatically go into sleep mode when it is in the middle of doing something (like a transmission download, a large file operation, watching a movie or listening to songs, etc). This is something I would expect from vista.
