** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 875538 [Firefox 3.6.23] Impossible to open firefox because firefox-bin process is still running -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/872127 Title: firefox won't reopen after closed session w popup Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: a workaround is to kill firefox-bin process left open after firefox closed. A new firefox session can then be opened. This seemed to start after a firefox update where none of the old plug-ins were supported so they were all turned off by the update. I don't know for sure that had anything to do with it but it seemed like it might be related.
