Title:
firefox won't reopen after closed session w popup

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
a workaround is to kill firefox-bin process left open after firefox
closed. A new firefox session can then be opened. This seemed to
start after a firefox update where none of the old plug-ins were
supported so they were all turned off by the update. I don't know for
sure that had anything to do with it but it seemed like it might be
  related.
