The alternate method with middle-click/drag does not work with mouse-less device (laptops/netbooks) and the other alternate method, which involves mouse, keyboard and three fingers simultaneously, is very inconvenient for normal users and has bugs. And It doesn't look like upstream is keen to get back this option very soon. For LTS, its a major regression and Ubuntu should patch it until they do. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=745575 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1527837/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
