Public bug reported: Currently if one wants to change the colour or transparency levels of the top panel they have to install an extension, I think that this functionality should be built-in so that one can just change these settings in the gnome-control-center rather than having to install some third-party extension.
I am running Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18. ** Affects: ubuntu-gnome Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1528915 Title: Allow changing of the top panel's colour and transparency levels without need to install extension - feature request Status in Ubuntu GNOME: New Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: New Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Currently if one wants to change the colour or transparency levels of the top panel they have to install an extension, I think that this functionality should be built-in so that one can just change these settings in the gnome-control-center rather than having to install some third-party extension.
