GTK_FRAME_EXTENTS still not supported so I think it will not be merged... You can try to ping him, I can update branch if needed, but I will do it only if I will know that it will be merged. P.S. Just logged in Ubuntu session and opened polari. It has black corners... Adding margin just added black borders so merging that branch would cause problems...
