Public bug reported: I don't know if it is a real bug or a system misunderstanding. I'm running a brand new installation of Ubuntu Studio 16.04 32bit ins a Dell Inspiron 1525. It did not recognize my Broadcom Wireless card, so i ran "sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer" in a terminal and this error came to me.
The system told me to run "sudo dpkg --configure -a" and reboot. I did it and tried again the installation of b43-fwcutter and this time, even with the same error, my wireless connection was recognized ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: ubuntu-drivers-common 1:0.4.17 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-21.37-lowlatency 4.4.6 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-21-lowlatency i686 ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2 AptOrdering: b43-fwcutter: Install ubuntu-drivers-common: Configure b43-fwcutter: Configure NULL: ConfigurePending Architecture: i386 Date: Tue May 3 18:09:21 2016 ErrorMessage: pacote ubuntu-drivers-common não está pronto para configuração não posso configurar (estado atual 'half-installed') InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-05-03 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Studio 16.04 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release i386 (20160420.1) RelatedPackageVersions: dpkg 1.18.4ubuntu1 apt 1.2.10ubuntu1 SourcePackage: ubuntu-drivers-common Title: package ubuntu-drivers-common 1:0.4.17 failed to install/upgrade: pacote ubuntu-drivers-common não está pronto para configuração não posso configurar (estado atual 'half-installed') UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: ubuntu-drivers-common (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package i386 xenial -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-drivers-common in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577942 Title: package ubuntu-drivers-common 1:0.4.17 failed to install/upgrade: pacote ubuntu-drivers-common não está pronto para configuração não posso configurar (estado atual 'half-installed') Status in ubuntu-drivers-common package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I don't know if it is a real bug or a system misunderstanding.
