Just did a quick try while working with the annoyance before i will switch back to my laptop i found that the options for the intel xorg driver will proably have no impact on this issue. For example:
t450s:~$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep -i tear [ 10.276] (==) intel(0): TearFree disabled Did not change something. It rather seems DRM related so next target should be testing kernel options for the DRM module or testing a 4.5 kernel (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1550779) Could also be a generel problem with the dock (https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/3440um/t450s_flickering_dock_firmware_update_doesnt_run/) as i didn't run the T450s with anything different than xenial so i don't know if it's a regression. @Bryan Did you have the problems before xenial? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1572667 Title: [Thinkpad T450s] Screen flickering on external monitors with docking station Status in xserver-xorg-video-intel package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 RC.
