After shut down and restart, it does not work. If then unplugged and plugged in it works perfectly again. A second issue is that it works only if plugged into the USB 3.0 ports on the left side of the laptop. It does not work in the USB 2.0 ports on the right side of the machine. When running 15.10 it worked in any USB port and did not need to be unplugged and re-plugged to work.
