This feature saved many clicks for me (as long as the distraction of thinking about my file heirarchy). A common use case is the following: 1. Create a presentation with Libre Office in a new directory call "newpresentation". 2. Search for an image on the internet to include in the presentation. 3. click "save as". Now, one has to traverse the entire path to the folder in which the presentation is saved. Before, with the recent files/folders tab I was able to just choose "newpresentation" from the list... this type of thing is very common for me.
