I'm pretty sure the Monitor's resolution was properly detected in 15.10 (4096x2160). It was called "Goldstar Company Ltd" but I do not recall which size was detected. (27" or 31") I remember seeing a 4K youtube video in 15.10 and noting the black bands on each side of the display, due to the difference between 3840 and 4096. --- ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.1 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CompositorRunning: None CurrentDesktop: XFCE DistUpgraded: 2016-04-14 20:11:08,467 ERROR got error from PostInstallScript ./xorg_fix_proprietary.py (g-exec-error-quark: Failed to execute child process "./xorg_fix_proprietary.py" (No such file or directory) (8)) DistroCodename: xenial DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 DistroVariant: ubuntu ExtraDebuggingInterest: Yes GraphicsCard: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
