Actually, the "variable rate" plugin is built-in so as long as it is installed, it is enabled.
You can change a video's playback speed by clicking the menu in the bottom right of the screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1620160 Title: Update totem to 3.22 Status in totem package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The new version of totem has one new feature: the ability to adjust playback speed. This was implemented as a plugin and only plugins that are listed in the ubuntu-settings (or ubuntu-gnome-default-settings) override are enabled by default. https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-desktop/+junk/ubuntu- settings/view/head:/debian/ubuntu-settings.gsettings-override#L121 https://git.gnome.org/browse/totem/tree/NEWS https://git.gnome.org/browse/totem/log/ https://tracker.debian.org/media/packages/t/totem/changelog-3.21.91-1 GNOME is currently in UI Freeze with 3.22 expected approximately September 20. Other notes ----------- There was a GTK 3.22 specific bug which totem triggers for which a new version of clutter-gtk (1.18.1) is being released. The commit that fixes the bug bumps the GTK requirement for clutter-gtk to 3.22 so it doesn't look like that's needed for yakkety since yakkety will not include GTK 3.22. So we'll revert the totem commit that requires clutter-gtk 1.18.1. https://git.gnome.org/browse/clutter-gtk/commit/?id=88d74 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/1620160/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
