Public bug reported: eog (image viewer) in Ubuntu 16.04 won't display large (~5.0 mb filesize or larger) jpg images. It used to work fine with images from my Canon T3i DSLR now it just displays a blank screen. eog still works with smaller sized images like those from an iphone
