Hi,

I'm using Xubuntu 16.10 and it's still impossible to install Gimp from
gnome-software since it's not listed anywhere.

If you look this screenshot, nothing is found when you search 'Gimp'.

Bug description:
  Gimp is not shown as installation candidate, even if you navigate to
  the "Graphics" category or you type "gimp".

  If Gimp is installed with USC or apt, you can't remove Gimp from
  Software since it's not listed under "Installed" tab.
