Irexec and irw do not get any input from the device, though /dev/lirc0 receives the input (verified with cat /dev/lirc0). Also irrecord and mode2 both get input. Retested on fresh install of 9.04 to verify same steps are being taken to set up lirc, but they do not work in 9.10. Also tested with lircd.conf copied from working setup on 9.04, no good. Synaptic -> install lirc. Select imon_knob. Restart lirc daemon. Launch irw, can verify input from remote on 9.04, exact same steps yield no irw input on 9.10.
