Depending on the sent information, the 'VDR extension board' is controlled. For example, LEDs are swithed on or off. This works with module lirc_serial. The transmitter must be enabled during compilation of the module. It works with 10.04 . For that, /etc/modprobe.d/lirc_serial.conf is: options lirc_serial type=0 options lirc_serial io=0x3F8 options lirc_serial irq=4 options lirc_serial softcarrier=0 It is broken in 10.10. Same configuration files as in 10.04. Log entries are also the same, no errors in the logs. Still, irsend send_once EXTB_TX B_LD5 lets the LED blink in 10.04, and nothing happens in 10.10. Note: irw (recieving RC signals) works fine in both, 10.10 and 10.04.
