*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1368402 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1368402
For me, all applications (chromium, gnucash, perhaps a couple others) scroll in a certain way: when I put two fingers on the touch pad and go up, they scroll up. Evince does the opposite, and it is the only application I have found that does that. This is marked as a duplicate of another issue that speaks of "all gtk3 apps", but for me, evince is the only one acting differently from the others. I don't know which way is "natural scrolling", but perhaps Evince has "fixed" the problem where it doesn't "naturally scroll" by always naturally scrolling regardless of other settings? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396378 Title: evince does not follow Xubuntu scroll direction Status in evince package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Setting Scroll direction to reverse (Natural scrolling) in xfce4 -mouse-settings works great for all applications except for evince. Same effect for both USB mouse and Touchpad. The same effect is observed when using this method: xinput set-button-map 11 1 2 3 5 4 7 6 8 9 10 11 12 I was able to kind of get a workaround using Option "ZAxisMapping" "5 4" in xorg.conf but it messed up my mouse speed pretty bad and xfce4-mouse-settings stopped working. (duplicate entries, settings did not take effect). On Xubuntu 14.04, evince 3.10.3, xfce4-mouse-settings 4.11.2 (Xfce 4.10). Have not tested other distributions.
