*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 374274 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374274
This is a much-required feature, so I'm adding duplicate status as needed. Ideas and designs have been shared but nobody has started implementing them: the code base is rather large and takes time getting acquainted to, the main developer is busy working on other projects, and it's not clear if he would accept such a feature as it can be considered too advanced for Déjà-Dup's intended users. I would like to work on that feature at some point in the future, but that's not going to be soon. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 374274 Advanced include/exclude support -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to deja-dup in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1572106 Title: deja-dup needs expressions for ignored-folders Status in Déjà Dup: Triaged Status in deja-dup package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: At least I would really appreciate (and I bet all developers out there as well), if deja-dup would allow to have glob-expressions or regular expressions for ignored-folders. On a normal installation it is really a pain in the a** to sort out all those .cache .obj tmp/* build/* especially, since those will be generated dynamically during the day. There's absolutely no need to back those up, but the frontend now only allows for specific pathes to be entered on ignore list. Please add this feature.
