Title:
Lost keyboard after resume from suspend

Status in xserver-xorg-input-evdev package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xorg

System is a Dell mini 10v with Kubuntu Netbook on it.

Touching a key would turn the screen on and I could click and get
focus in the password box, but was unable to type anything into the
password box. ssh'ed into the machine and confirmed hal was running:

$ ps aux | grep hal
