Title:
  [Intel Cantiga HDMI] PA test tone failed (alsa tone succeeded)

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pulseaudio

  all my volume levels are at 100%, but i'm still unable to hear any
  sound from any applications! But, I created a new user and Voila!!! i
  have sound there.. but not in my original user!! i have no idea what
  the problem is... any level of help regarding this would be highly
  appreciated.

  And yeah.. i'm running Ubuntu 10.10 by the way! if that helps
