This doesn't always happen but when I resume my machine from being suspended my networking doesn't seem to work. I had a look through the processes list and I found that pulseaudio was in the 'uninterruptable' state and the waiting channel says 'usb_start_wait_urb'. When I kill pulseaudio, the sound indicator disappears and the networking functionality is restored, however pulseaudio is still sat in the same state it was. I can't use programs that use sound (i.e. Totem, Flash in web browser) as they just hang and I can't kill pulseaudio properly in order to try and relaunch it. The only way I can fix the issue is to restart my machine.
