Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I have an Intel HDA sound card or something like that. Speakers work
fine, but once anything is plugged into the headphone jack, the sound
from the speakers mutes like it should, but no sound comes out of the
output device.
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on an Asus u43jc-x1. The 64-bit version.
This is really annoying.
