This bug is so old (and it's an upstream bug). At work I'm getting really tired of telling my 50 users that I can't help them and that they should copy their files from the company's shares to a temporary local directory before uploading them to the backoffice. They're getting really tired of working around that, too.
Is there a chance the patch on the upstream bug (filepicker-fix.patch v2) would be added to Ubuntu's Firefox if I test and adapt it ? ** Bug watch added: Mozilla Bugzilla #1187870 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1187870 ** Also affects: firefox via https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1187870 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1579543 Title: Firefox 46 is missing network shares in file selector Status in Mozilla Firefox: Unknown Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Expected behavior: Firefox file selection windows show network shares mounted via Nautilus (i.e. gvfs SMB mounts).
