Title:
  Software Center wastes space

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
The Software Center is wasting a lot of space currently.

I'm on 1680 x 1050 and if I maximize it there is a lot of unused space
at the bottom below the "Top Rated" block.

Here are two ideas what that space could be used for.

  a) You could have the "What's New" block be more prominent. Make the elements
bigger and add more information.
  b) Show more items in the "Top Rated" block. (This can be problematic because
it can be too much for the user)
  c) Add another block "Top Downloaded" for example.

Those are really just some quick thoughts.
