apport information

** Description changed:

I first asked around in the ubuntu newsgroups, and people there asked me to
file
this bug in Bugzilla/Libreoffice and also in launchpad to make sure it is not
a
  Kubuntu packaging issue.
Further info and strace log files can be found on bugzilla
Bug 42684 - FILEOPEN very slow, network/dns related, it takes about 15 minutes
I am running Kubuntu 11.10 and the version of LO is
  LibreOffice 3.4.3 OOO340m1 (Build:302)

The problem is that LO wants to resolve url's + their security certificates
present in the sheet
I guess some urls cannot be resolved, and after about 15 minutes, LO gives up
and finally opens the document.
I think the problem first appeared after an upgrade (not shure if it appeared
after installing Kubuntu 11.10 or before)
It was not there in 11.04 for some time, but perhaps it appeared later on in
11.04 after adding the backport ppa, I don't
  remember anymore.
I dont' have this problem when I open the same file on my daughters laptop
(WIN7-Openoffice 3.1)
Let me know if you need further info.
