Title:
soffice.bin crashed with SIGSEGV in JNI_CreateJavaVM()

Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I was attempting to create a libreoffice base file. In a terminal I
entered the command 'libreoffice --base'. The splash screen was follow
by the create database dialog box. I entered a file name and clicked
save, the window froze and then disappeared. There was no message in
  the terminal.

This is the first time I that I have tried libreoffice since
installing 17.10. I was not able to run libreoffice base on 17.04
either. On 17.04, libreoffice base would crash on creating a database
  or querying an existing database.

OpenOffice4 base worked on 17.04 but I have not tried it on 17.10.
