Title:
drag and drop on Desktop keeps stuck with hand icon

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I have the following bug with a clean install of Ubuntu 17.10.

When I try to drag a file or folder from my desktop to an open
nautilus window the file or folder doesn't get moved and instead the
mouse keeps being stuck in the hand icon. This meakes the system
merely usable anymore since I can open applications like firefox but
can not click any buttons in it except the quit buttons. I have to
reboot the system to get it to work again.

  This happens on every try.
