Yes, it's a known issue. The quicklist bookmark plugin only works if the
application is running. In previous versions Nautilus and nautilus-
desktop were combined into a single package. But two are different
processes and only nautilus-desktop is running. Dynamic quicklist can
only work on Nautilus the app itself. One possible solution is to use
static quicklist for bookmarks. But Unity may not use nautilus in future
versions. So I am marking it as low importance.

Bug description:
  Unity don't work like expect since gnome turn default.

  Right click on files in unity launcher don't show markers like it
  should, this only happen in ubuntu 17.10.

  Markers show if I open one window or more in nautilus.

  It was a great feature in unity since ever I hope some solution come
  out
