I'm no longer seeing this in LibreOffice Witer 5.4.2.2 on Ubuntu 17.10. In that version the popup menus have moved to a new sidebar tab called Page, and this issue does not occur there.
So this is effectively fixed. I'm marking this bug report as Fix Released. ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1644848 Title: in Writer, Page sidebar menus have unreadable text on dark background Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: I'm running LibreOffice Writer 5.2.2.2, which comes with Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety). The popup menus in the Page section of the sidebar have unreadable text on a dark background. This looks like a theming problem. I'll attach a screenshot.
